Engineered Foundation Technologies greatly cares about the use of eco-friendly materials and techniques, offering clients a variety of green alternatives to traditional construction.
Some of our current eco-friendly solutions include:
- Slabjacking is a highly eco-friendly alternative to concrete replacement. It is used to repair settling concrete and requires less resources and energy than a 'rip and replace'. The process requires results in less carbon emissions and essentially no materials to haul to a landfill.
- Soy-based Polyurethane is the latest advancement in polyurethane foam technologies. This new eco-friendly soy-based foam also contains recycled post-consumer products, providing cost-effective solutions to infrastructure rehabilitation.
- Recycled Steel: EFT utilizes helical piers made from recycled steel pipes. Owners/Contractors can also earn contractors LEED Credits for using helical piers on accredited projects.
- Environmentall Friendly Walkways: Helical piers have minimal impact on wetland areas during construction, requiring manual equipment for installation. They do not produce excessive noise or vibrations and are install relatively quickly.
We continue to seek out new ways of promoting sustainable construction, low-impact techniques, and environmentally friendly materials for our client base.
